We are looking for an energetic Recruitment and Engagement Assistant to help tell Birmingham City University’s exciting story of transformation to a range of prospective student audiences and influencers.

You will join a team set up to deliver a recruitment strategy that aims to build great relationships with schools and colleges, developing existing partnerships and forging new links across the region and beyond. 

Supporting with delivering a compelling programme of subject level engagement with recruitment audiences, you will assist with on and off campus recruitment activity and ensure talks and events are exciting, purposeful and innovative.   

You will also be looking after our thriving Student Ambassador programme, working on the recruiting, training and payment of our Student Ambassadors, and leading them on some of our key recruitment events, such as Open Days and Clearing.

We want talented and enthusiastic applicants, ideally familiar with providing guidance to young people about higher education, and extremely comfortable with public speaking.

You will be a big part of ensuring we deliver great events, on and off campus, such as Open Days, Applicant Taster Days and recruitment fairs across the country.

Our University has a great reputation for giving life changing opportunities to students from all backgrounds, something this role will support by forming part of our range of activities aimed at widening access to a university education. 

You will be an important member of the Student Recruitment team, working closely with the rest of the Marketing and Communications Department – including colleagues based in faculties, as well as our Campaigns, Communications and Admissions teams.
