Job Summary

Reporting to the HR Generalist, the Student Employment Coordinator will oversee the entire student hire process within Harvard Law School. This role will partner with multiple departments in order to ensure a successful and smooth hire and onboarding process.

Position Description

As a Student Employment Coordinator, you will:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all student employment processes and related inquiries
  • Complete end-to-end functions of all student employment requests, including reviewing requests, determining eligibility of students, approving transactions, and appointment communications
  • Ensure all hires are in compliance with the Harvard Graduate Student Union (HGSU) contract, if applicable
  • Partner with multiple constituencies within HLS and Harvard to promote and uphold efficient student employment practices
  • Teach and guide program assistants and faculty assistants on hiring process responsibilities, providing relevant updates as necessary
  • Monitor and respond to all email inquiries regarding student employment, serving as a resource to students, staff, faculty, and alumni
  • Develop and update resources to support the student hiring and onboarding processes
  • Maintain the student employment website in partnership with the HR Programs Specialist

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of three years of administrative experience. Education beyond high school may count toward experience.

Working Conditions

This is an in-person/on-campus position based in Cambridge, MA, with possible flexible work options.
