As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.Within the Working Group on Equal Opportunities (AKG), faculty representative Civil and Environmental Engineering, Institute of Water Quality and Resource Management, TU Wien is offering a position as student staff in research/administration with the following responsibilities (4 hours/week, with the possibility to increase the extent of employment to 7,5 hours/week). Expected start: November 15th 2024. This position is expected to be limited for 6 months with the option to extend for to a maximum of 3.5 years, but no longer than the completion of a master’s or diploma degree.Tasks:

  • Practical, administrative and technical support of the AKG’s institute representative, especially in teaching and research
  • Committed assistance in the preparation and implementation of research projects of the working group “Molecular Microbiology in Sanitary Engineering”
  • Support with sampling, laboratory activities and organizational laboratory tasks
  • Collaboration in the documentation, analysis and processing of measurement data and experiment results
  • Administrative involvement in teaching and in the supervision of students
  • Assistance with organizational and administrative tasks in the field of teaching

Your profile:

  • Enrolled in a relevant study programme in natural sciences (specializing in environmental engineering, civil engineering, technical chemistry, process engineering, molecular biology, microbiology or similar); no completed master’s or diploma program
  • Good academic record
  • Very good German and/or English skills, in writing and speaking
  • Knowledge of office administration, especially with MS Office programs
  • Committed person with an independent, reliable work attitude
  • Accuracy, high willingness to learn and quick comprehension
  • Dynamic flexibility
  • Communicative, team player, good with students
  • Willingness to acquire gender competence
