The Student Wellbeing Services team are seeking to appoint a Student Casework Officer.

Student Wellbeing Services consists of a broad range of student services contributing to the health, wellbeing, personal journey and experience of students at Lancaster University. Within this service, the Student Casework team work with complex and high-risk student cases and students who have been victims of serious incidents. Other functions in Student Wellbeing Services include disability, mental health care, international student advice, counselling and multifaith chaplaincy. 

The post holder will provide support for the university’s student wellbeing casework portfolio. This includes providing advice and guidance to students who have been victims of serious incidents, managing the university’s Supported Study and Fitness to Study processes, supporting students who are going through the student disciplinary process if required, and leading on the delivery of staff training in relevant areas and prevention and campaign work to raise awareness with students.

The post holder must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong positive and collaborative working relationships with academic and professional services staff in departments and colleges and the rest of Student Wellbeing Services as well as key staff across the university.
