Job Summary: The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various social media sites. Excellent writing and time management skills, as well as experience managing projects, are required for this position. Some job duties include:
Additional Department Summary: The Housing and Residential Communities works to oversee the University’s 35 residence halls and support students’ development, learning, and engagement through intentionally designed environments, programs, and services. HRC is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our team to promote internal and external communications by reviewing marketing materials for University standards, monitoring social networks, and working with the Communications Specialist to develop social media strategies and content.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Current, full-time junior, senior, or graduate UA student with major or minor in communications and/or graphic design.
Skills and Knowledge:
Preferred Qualifications: Photography or video experience. Available some nights and weekends to video or take photos of res hall events.
Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
