Job Summary The Government and Economic Development Institute is searching for student assistance in Industrial & Graphic Design within its EDA University Center program beginning January 2023. 
This position will provide graphic and product design concept assistance from campus to community entrepreneurs across Alabama. The position is designed to give an undergraduate student practical and relevant experience interacting with individuals/entrepreneurs and translating their brand/product vision into initial prototype designs. 
This position will average approximately 13 hours per week with flexible hours, Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
Essential Functions
  • Provide graphic and product design concept assistance to students and other entrepreneurs. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with business owners and potential entrepreneurs with ideas. 
  • Ability to take verbally described concepts or ideas and convert them into visual and physical prototypes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Enrolled student at Auburn University, junior year majoring in Industrial Design
  • Experience in prototype development, graphic design, and layout
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and CAD software
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines
  • Reflect a positive attitude and a willingness to think out of the box
  • Possess a high proficiency in spoken and written English
