The College of Dentistry is seeking a student assistant to provide administrative support in the Division of Endodontics. The student assistant will report to the division’s Office Admin Associate/Supervisor and work closely with the division’s front desk staff to complete tasks. This is a part-time position of 12 – 16 hours per week, 2-3 days a week. 

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.

Duties of this position include printing/scanning/data entry of patient referrals, printing/folding/mailing patient letters and other administrative duties as needed.  Knowledge of MS Office is recommended. Training to handle and protect confidential and sensitive health data included with the job tasks will be provided.

Hours are between 7:30am – 4:30pm with flexibility to allow for class schedule.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.

This position requires sitting/standing at a computer the entire shift.

Required: High school graduate or equivalent education/experience

Desired: Computer knowledge and attention to detail

80% Provide administrative support to the front desk staff; printing/scanning/data entry of patient referrals; printing/mailing of patient referrals and completion letters

10% Learning and use of technology to perform tasks more efficiently

10% Other administrative duties as needed or assigned

Additional Information:

The Targeted Hiring Rate for this position is $10/hour.
