Job Overview
The Student Affairs Coordinator facilitates a variety of student engagement activities and provides administrative support for curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities at the McCourt School. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Take the lead in organizing school-wide activities and events, particularly in the areas of wellness and mental health resources, to enhance the overall McCourt student experience
- Coordinate, oversee, and/or perform a wide variety of administrative and program support activities on behalf of the McCourt School Office of Student Affairs, the McCourt School Office of the Dean, and the 17 student-led organizations
- Serve as the initial point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external constituencies, and work closely with the Student Affairs staff and Events and Operations Coordinator to ensure that school needs and activities are well-supported.
- Serve as the primary administrative support for Student Affairs team and undergraduate committees.
- Represent at Admissions Open Houses for prospective students and admitted students and Orientation, and manage all incoming students’ communications.
- Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices
- Use independent judgment to support the maintenance of a professional work environment
Work Interactions
Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Student Affairs, the Student Affairs Coordinator manages Work Study students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree – preference for Master’s degree
- At least 2 years of administrative experience in an office environment – preference for higher education experience
