| Job Summary | The Administrative Support Associate I supports the Nurse Recruitment office and assists hiring departments with the essential steps of hiring regular part-time and full-time employees. Primary job duties will include: posting & process a high volume of job requisitions in the Integrated Employment System; collaborating with hiring managers and Nurse Recruiters to edit submitted job descriptions, posting specific questions and all other job requisition content for general effectiveness as well as spelling & grammatical accuracy; schedule candidate interview(s) with Nurse Recruiter, Manager and/or staff interview panels; coordinates on-boarding of new employees with Managers, Staff Development, Nursing Payroll, and Campus/Hospital education; and book new employees for orientation sessions. This role will contribute to the continuous improvement of department services and the division’s reputation by actively engaging in work teams and projects, identifying potential areas for improvement, investigating and recommending potential corrective courses of action; proactively identifying and taking advantage of opportunities to build on professional and procedural knowledge base; and providing project research and support to Nurse Recruitment Management team. The University of Kentucky considers the health, safety and well-being of our entire community to be a top priority. | Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will possess HR professional knowledge; have the ability to multitask with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail; be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; excellent communication skills (both written and verbal; demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service; solid time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills are all critical to the success in this position and a high level of respect for confidentiality and diversity are a must. |
