Job Description

Scope of Position: The Staff Training & Development Coordinator (IRP) position in the Department of Education, Development and Resources assists in providing classroom and skills instruction and coaching to support the staff employed within Revenue Cycle departments and other patient-facing staff. This is an internal resource pool position. The person in this role will also participate in the biweekly New Employee Orientation (NEO) facilitation team.

Position Summary:    Works collaboratively with department staff members. Is the primary classroom instructor for First Impression training given to all staff within Revenue Cycle departments.  Conducts one-on-one First Impressions skill assessment and coaching.  Coordinates activities with supervisors and managers of patient-facing staff.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education, nursing, communications, human resource development, organizational development or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong facilitation skills, customer service skills and commitment to staff training and development. Knowledge of ambulatory healthcare settings is a plus. Experience in training customer service courses preferred. Experience with, commitment to, and competence in dealing with diverse adult populations.
