The Research Assistant will help with the execution of research connected to COVID-19 among historically marginalized populations (within the C3-REACH team).  The Research Assistant will report to Drs. Padamsee and Nemeth, principal investigators of the C3-REACH team.   
The Research Assistant will assist with the execution of research related to COVID-19 and will assist with the administration and facilitation of the research team. They will help design data collection tools and will help collect and manage data.   The Research Assistant will utilize both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and software in the conduct of research projects. They will assist with the preparation and management of IRB applications, research reports, funding reports, standard operating procedures, and grant applications. They may also have the opportunity to help write and co-author manuscripts.  The Research Assistant will also help coordinate and facilitate research team activities and perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

55% Assist with design of data collection instruments, data collection, analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. Help recruit and consent potential research subjects by phone, email, and in person; maintain recruitment and tracking spreadsheets. Assist with the management of research data, including but not limited to organizing, uploading, and backing up data. 

Assist in preparing and updating IRB applications, research reports, funding reports and standard operating procedure documents. 

30% Assist with coordinating, facilitating, and managing research team activities, including but not limited to research team meetings. Maintain the C3-REACH website.  Perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

10%  Assist with literature searches, summaries, tables, and figures for manuscripts, as well as manuscript writing, formatting, and submission.

5% May also assist with grant writing and grant applications. 

Required Education

B.A. in public health or a social science discipline.

Desired Experience

Past engagement with research team activities.

Pay Range: $16.25-$21.38 per hour
