Role Description :
Our team is seeking to revolutionize the AIDDISON Python modules. We are in search of a Senior Python Developer who can enhance our current Python modules and assist the team in embracing the most recent innovations in the field.

ABOUT OUR TECHNOLOGY

The AIDDISON drug discovery software integrates artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and computer-aided drug design (CADD) methods to serve as a valuable toolkit for medicinal chemistry requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Work as part of an Agile development team.
• Drive technical designs to support business goals.
• Independently analyze existing implementations in Python.
• Work autonomously, taking the initiative to understand the current architecture, identify areas of improvement, and drive those improvements with minimal oversight.
• Maintain a high-quality software mindset, ensuring that the written code functions effectively and suggest improvements where appropriate.
• Build efficient back-end features in Python
• Prepare technical documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Mandatory Skills:

• Extensive 5 – 7 years of hands-on experience in python development.
• Proficient as a Python Developer with hands-on experience.
• Experience in consuming / defining REST services.
• Familiarity with unit test frameworks.
• Capability to deliver solutions based on business requirements.
• Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work with global teams and adapt to a flexible work schedule.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and REST API.
• Proficiency in databases and SQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric focus.
• Has API First approach in the DNA.
• Has experience  with using 3rd party Libraries.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Micro services, Event Oriented Architectures and Distributed Systems
• Experience with cloud environments (Amazon Web Services)
• Experience with product-oriented engineering development teams is a plus
• Experience with version control systems (Git preferred)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices/principles, Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines and the product development lifecycle
• Familiarity with Web Socket development.
• Experience with Data Science libraries.
