Job Description
This position supports Thunderbird School of Global Management’s Executive Education Program, operations team. Under general direction, serves as Sr. Program Manager and primary liaison between the organization and high-value clients, managing and implementing all aspects of program operations for the delivery of a successful, high-quality custom and open enrollment executive education programs. Manages end to end delivery of programs in person or online and provides direction and oversight of junior program managers, requiring global coordination and delivery. Manges project risks, expectations, and change through identification of the budget, time, and resources, reporting to the Director of Global Operations, Executive Education.

Essential Duties
- Provides direction and leadership to Program Management, Operations team and contributes to program proposal and contract to manage time frame, budget, procedures for accomplishing project, allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
- Participates in the client meetings/presentations to introduce Thunderbird’s service model.
- Provides guidance to both the client and internal teams regarding project execution (e.g., project plan, participant communication, technology, resources, risks, etc.)
- Formulates project plan and is held accountable for managing risks/changes for a successful program delivery.
- Assists CD/MD throughout contracting and budgeting process.
- Ensures that the project plan reflects the contractual deliverables.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of the program budget to continuously monitor expenses.
- Regularly informs the client team of the budget status proactively pointing out any potential issues.
- Serves as primary communication point for internal and external constituents regarding project status and resource requirements as appropriate.
- Provides direction to program delivery team in meeting project timeline and deliverables. Resolves day-to-day issues. Takes initiative to alert client team to any potential challenges and risks.
- Prepares period project status reports for the client team and/or the client.
- Schedules team/client meetings as needed and prepares meeting packages.
- Processes all relevant data and prepares the program debrief packet/reports for the client team and the client.
- Engages with the client as needed in the absence of CD/MD to ensure continuity of relationship.
- Role-models the use of key Executive Education systems (CRM, approved templates, Learn Online) and processes.
- Acts as a team/new hire trainer and auditor. Provides feedback to the operations team and/or Director of Operations regarding performance observations.
- Provides leadership and training to the immediate direct reports (if any assigned).
- Regularly conducts 1:1 meetings and performance review, sets goals and offers mentoring.
- Assures overall adherence to program delivery standards via training, audits, formal and informal mentorship.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field AND five (5) years’ experience managing projects/client relationships; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

- Evidence of a Masters degree in related field coupled with extensive experience in managing client relationships in addition to command of second language/working.
- Demonstrated knowledge of a foreign culture.

- Demonstrated knowledge of executive education industry and programs/products.

Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%).
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (15%).
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
