About the Role: 

Data Consultant role, within the Professional Services department, is a consultant and analyst role responsible for making strategic data-related decisions by analyzing, manipulating, tracking, managing, and reporting data.  This position also requires working with client partners, customer success team and engineering team on data usage and data initiatives.  This position is for someone who has solid understanding of data and technology, has experience troubleshooting data issues and implement solutions to mitigate the problems.

Additionally, the data consultant is responsible for discovering new potential for existing data and coming up with new recommendations and solutions based on data analysis.  The candidate will be primarily supporting the adoption and growth of 6sense platform that our customers use every day.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative guidance for data management and governance within the company as well as for clients
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of 6sense product architecture, technical components and application functionalities
  • Understand clients’ data design and architecture and to implement integration strategies with the clients
  • Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data
  • Use of SQL queries for the purpose of analyzing, extracting and transforming of data
  • Preparing reports for the client and internal team stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to address gaps and pain points in a data journey
  • Forge strong relationships with client leadership, analysts, and other stakeholders to grasp their data-related requirements
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the current trends and products within the data visualization and B.I tool.
  • Designing and maintaining data systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data-related problems
  • Consolidate analyses and create reports that make business impacts

Qualifications: 

  •  A professional who holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related fields, along with approximately 3-5 years’ experience as an analyst or data engineer.
  • 4+ years in data management, data analytics, or related roles
  • Should have working experience in one of RDBMS data stores like Oracle, MySQL or Redshift
  • Preferable working Knowledge in Python or Shell script
  • Experience in working with Presto and the Hadoop ecosystem including Hive
  • Strong data mining knowledge of analyzing big data, finding patterns/trends and provide insights to customer
  • Experience in B2B related CRM and Marketing applications like SFDC, Microsoft Dynamics, Eloqua, Marketo
  • Experience in Data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop clear and concise written technical and non-technical documentation
  • Strong verbal presentation skills
  • Good to have knowledge in ML, Analytical/Predictive models etc.
