Position Summary:           

Yeshiva University’s Katz School seeks a dynamic Sr. Associate Dean to serve as academic and administrative lead for its nursing initiative. The Sr. Associate Dean will be responsible for establishing high-quality graduate and post-baccalaureate nursing programs from concept to accreditation to successful on-going operations, accreditation maintenance, and rankings.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading faculty recruitment, hiring, development, evaluation, and tenure support, and creating a culture of collegiality and shared governance
  • Overseeing curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement
  • Overseeing the successful development and ongoing operations of an on-campus clinic as well as all aspects of external clinical placements
  • Overseeing program accreditation, academic and clinic policies, and assessment with commitment to continuous program improvement
  • Overseeing student recruitment and selection with the expectation of significant program growth
  • Ensuring student academic and professional success including licensure pass rates, clinical and practicum experiences, and job placement
  • Promotes the use of educational technology, including simulation and on-line learning’ across the curriculum
  • Teaming with Administrators and Faculty of other Yeshiva University Health Professional Programs to identify synergistic strategies and shared goals
  • Establishing partnerships with local, regional, national, and international health and community organizations
  • Developing grants, contracts, philanthropy, and research development
  • Working with alumni, other supporters and university personnel to ensure fiscal support for the school
  • Teaching two courses, some time over the academic year
  • Managing budgets and resources

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Earned doctorate in Nursing (e.g., PhD, EdD)
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of documented experience; 5 years of leadership experience (e.g., Associate Dean; Dean);
  • Distinguished record of clinical accomplishment, contributions to practice/treatment, grant development, and publication and 3 years nursing practice experience;
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time teaching experience;
  • Current RN licensure and registration in New York State
