Department Summary The College of Health and Public Service (HPS) at the University of North Texas,

Located within HPS, the Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP) provides the finest graduate professional education in both speech-language pathology and audiology while maintaining an excellent undergraduate degree. The program stresses excellence in teaching, research, and service by its faculty and students. As a component of the educational program, the department operates the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, which offers professional services to members of our campus community and the general public for the purpose of providing clinical training for students. The Center offers state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, and hearing disorders.
ASLP is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Supervisor to join the HPS family.
Position Summary The UNT Speech and Hearing Center at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Supervisor to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provision of assessment and treatment services to adult Medicare clients in accordance with CMS and associated third party payer guidelines.
  • Supervision of clinical assessment and treatment of Speech-Language Pathology graduate student clinicians during assessment and treatment sessions with Medicare and other clients on a PRN basis.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field. Expertise wanted in areas including adult neuro, aphasia, motor speech, voice, TBI, and other adult related speech, language, memory, cognitive disorders.
  • License to practice in the State of Texas, and Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
  • Flexible hours up to 16-18 hours per week (as dictated by clinical and client needs).
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supervising graduate student clinicians.
Required License / Registration / Certification License to practice in the State of Texas, and Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Chosen candidate will be required to complete provider credentialing process according to UNT system guidelines.
Work Schedule Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Friday: 8 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (16-18 hours per week in this time frame)
