Job Title

Specialist, IT Systems Administration

Candidate will be responsible for patching activities(12x7x365) for enterprise environment within the financial service industry (fin-tech). Duties include PCI compliance/audit, vulnerability remediation, patch management, governance, reporting and/or ad-hoc activities to support business requirements.

Excellent understanding of RHEL, Oracle Linux operating systems.
Develop and optimize pre/post patching process to ensure proper implementation without any outages
Utilize automation tools and develop scripts to further automate patching program
Prioritization of patches as per security of the vulnerabilities
Stakeholder coordination and communication
Execution of patching to achieve >95% compliance
Research and remediate of vulnerabilities for PCI report of compliance
Address requests for addition or exclusions of patches or servers from monthly patching
Assist in the process for vulnerability and patch management to achieve company’s business needs and strategic objectives
Participate in break fixes and bridge incident calls
All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Experience Required
Solid understanding of industry best practices for Patch and Vulnerability management
Solid understanding and hands-on of Operating System and Middleware
Proficiency in scripting – Python, and Shell
Excellent understanding of various automation tools (Linux, Ansible)
Excellent communication skills to comfortably interact with stakeholders including senior management, executives, and effective deal with complex situations in various capacity
Skills and Knowledge Required
ITIL
Operating System and Middleware
Ansible and SaltStack
Enterprise-class Infrastructure/System Engineering experience with various platforms running on virtualized environment
Additional Responsibilities and Requirements
Experience working with Overseas (preferably US/EMEA/Australia) based team members.
Participation with the team On-Call/Shift rotation
