| Job Summary | The Alabama Cooperative Extension System (Alabama Extension) is seeking applicants to take our social media program to the next level. As we look for ways to identify and reach new audiences and increase engagement with those already familiar with ACES, a dynamic social media expert will play a key role in moving us forward. The selected candidate will work with a highly successful content-creation team to develop custom social media content and campaigns that spotlight Extension and its educational programs. As well as develop and implement social media strategies that support the vision, mission, goals and achievements of its educational efforts and programming. This position will be responsible for facilitating online social networks to connect targeted audiences with research-based Extension messaging; creating and using photography and video to enhance Extension content; and participating in the evaluation of the effectiveness of Extension public relations efforts. Content generated will highlight the areas of agriculture, forestry and natural resources, families and 4-H/Youth. This position will support the production of materials to include content/style editing, designing, photography and news writing. EXTENSION: The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is the outreach organization for the land grant mission of Auburn University and Alabama A&M University and Auburn University. Its educational programs grow from these two land grant university campuses to serve the people of Alabama. Science-based educational programs are delivered that enable people to improve their quality of life and economic well-being.
