Specialist Associate (Site Checker 2)

• The applicant will assist in the supervision of Solar PV installation works under the SolarNova 4 & 6 programme. The applicant will conduct and attend site inspections related to Solar PV installation works and prepare a periodic report of findings for submission to Client.
• The applicant will act as SERIS technical representative between Client and their appointed Solar PV Contractor. Attend and participate in meetings when required.
• Define the client specification into either a departmental action or subcontractor order. Produce deliverables on-time to client’s requirements, clarifying these requirements where necessary.
• The applicant will assist in the Testing and Commissioning activities for Solar PV installations. Training, where necessary, will be provided by SERIS.
• The applicant will assist in Lender’s Technical Advisory and assist in Owner’s Engineering projects, both of which include client interfacing, documentary and contract reviews, compliance check, site inspections and supervision on behalf of clients, and report writing.
• The applicant will assist in system doctor solar PV diagnostic projects, including client interfacing, preparation works, on-site system inspections and diagnostics using electrical and imaging equipment and drones, technical evaluations, and report writing.
• The applicant may be required to travel overseas where needed.
• The applicant will have project management and leadership responsibilities.
• The applicant will assist in other group activities where required by the direct supervisor and group head.

Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
• At least three years’ experience in coordinating and/or supervising Solar PV installation or at least 2 years’ experience in a project management role in the PV, consultancy, or construction industry.
• Experience in other forms of electrical engineering works will also be considered.
• Knowledge of PV systems O&M will be advantage.
• Comfortable to work in an outdoor and rooftop environment. Having “Work at Height” certification or equivalent is an advantage.
• Demonstrates initiative on moderate problem solving within assigned tasks.
• A dynamic team-player with a positive effect on the mood in an on-site group setting.
• Resilient, optimistic and open to change
• Shows moral courage, openness and honesty in all dealings
• Willing to travel to ASEAN countries for site projects, when needed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel skills and able to analyse data or related a programming language
