  • Assists the Internship Coordinator with organizing and executing all aspects of the Summer Internship Program, especially in the lead-up to and during the program (January – August).
  • Additionally, provides assistance with a variety of matters related to Special Programs, including Internship programs, Faculty-Led and Customized Programs, Study Abroad Foundation programs, Special Initiatives, and Alumni Relations. Works with staff on planning, organization, and execution of programs.
  • Remains in regular contact with relevant Faculty, Students and Staff within each program, coordinating before and during the programs.
  • Meets regularly with Special Programs and Initiatives Manager and with Internship Coordinator.
  • Along with staff, plans and carries out the activities of orientation sessions for various programs.
  • Assists with the preparation and carrying out of special events, alumni events, and initiatives.
  • Prepares and helps prepare written and electronic materials pertaining to all aspects of programs within the department.
  • Organizes and chaperones trips.
  • Maintains daily contact with students to advise, assist, and generally mentor them through the study abroad process. Promotes healthy student environment and assists students in building community.
  • Participates in rotating IES Vienna on-call emergency telephone service.

Ihr Profil

  • Written and spoken fluency in English and German, skilled in clear and concise written communication.
  • Organized and reliable, good communicator, comfortable in front of a group, able to stay calm in stressful situations, willing to work overtime and weekends during busy periods.
  • Attentive to detail and able to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • International experience and experience working with university-aged students a plus.
  • Valid Austrian work permit.

Salary: full-time, minimum 2.650€ monthly gross salary with full benefits
