Description

Normandeau Associates, Inc., one of the nation’s largest science-based environmental consulting firms, is seeking a Biological Laboratory Technician for the Ecological Resources group in Stowe, PA.

This position will require working in a laboratory environment and use of a stereoscope to process benthic macroinvertebrate samples.

Responsibilities for the position:

The primary duties for this entry-level position would be sorting aquatic benthic invertebrates in support of specific project requirements. Normandeau processes more than 500 benthic invertebrate samples annually, from locations across the country.
Additionally, candidates will be responsible for basic laboratory tasks and duties; including cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
This is a full-time, temporary position.
Other project needs as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
· Academic background in the biological sciences or experience in the technical services are preferred; however, experience is not necessary as training will be provided.

Minimum Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED.
· A valid driver’s license
