Solutions Engineer – Equities Embedded Cloud Team

We are hiring an early-career Solutions Engineer to work directly with our Equities Portfolio Management community in addition to other asset classes. In this role, you will focus on software development, Cloud (AWS/GCP), and AI/ML skills while collaborating with your Equities Embedded Cloud Teammates. Your responsibilities will include building and implementing on-prem solutions, cloud-based solutions, collaborating with internal teams, and supporting internal customers, all while working closely with an experienced Team Lead that will provide training, guidance and coaching.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, and maintain internal cloud platform components primarily in Google Cloud and AWS; learn about architecture and design.

• Write code for infrastructure-as-code, software development, data analytics, machine learning, and automation scripts.

• Extract requirements, create project plans, timelines, and statement of work documents.

• Generate architecture ideas, build solutions, and make recommendations for Portfolio Management teams.

• Create re-usable assets and patterns to accelerate implementation and offer self-service options.

• Drive forward-momentum, remove blockers, and research limitations in the interest of improving customer experience.

• Develop solutions for machine learning and distributed compute use-cases in the financial industry.

• Prepare business presentations, emails, and demos for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of software development experience in Python, Java, C++, or similar languages.

• Experience creating presentations or demos for non-technical audiences.

• Passion for working directly with customers in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge or experience with Cloud (Google Cloud or AWS) preferred.

• Knowledge or experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

• Knowledge or experience in designing architectures to solve practical business problems.

• Knowledge or experience in DevOps, Machine Learning/AI, Large-language models, core Networking concepts, and Data Pipelines.

• Knowledge or experience in systems engineering and Linux shell scripting.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
