Job DescriptionSolid State Lab Technician – Crystallization and Solid State CharacterisationLab Technician (m/f/d) / Labortechniker in der Kristallisation und Feststoffcharakterisierung (m/f/d)For our Solid State Centre, we are seeking a Lab Technician with an interest in crystallization, solid-state characterization, and laboratory automation. You will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of pharmaceutical active ingredients and to participate in various projects at different stages of development, from early-phase to late-phase projects. The work at the Solid State Centre includes solid and powder characterization, “solid form screening,” crystallization process development, and supporting production preparation for our site in Linz as well as locations abroad.In this role, you will:
- Independently perform or supervise laboratory work related to solid-state characterization, crystallization screening, and crystallization process development.
- Participate in project detail planning and implementation of the laboratory plan.
- Ensure documentation of experimental work and assist in creating relevant documentation for clients and production.
- Assist in operating and maintaining equipment.
Your Qualifications:
- Solid chemical or process engineering education (apprenticeship, technical school, HTL).
- Experience in preparative laboratory work and/or methods of solid-state characterization. Prior experience in one or more of the following techniques and technologies is advantageous: XRPD, thermal analysis, sorption analysis, spectroscopic methods, PAT techniques, powder characterization, HPLC.
- Advanced knowledge in one or more chemical technologies, particularly laboratory automation, is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and high customer orientation.
- Strong safety awareness.
- High flexibility towards changing requirements, interest in new challenges, and innovation.
