The Jasnin Lab uses in situ cryo-electron tomography to explore the molecular architecture of actin systems within unperturbed cellular environments, and elucidate the structural principles governing actin functions across scales.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and optimize image processing workflows
• Image processing
• Develop computational tools for quantitative analysis of cell architecture
• Administrate and maintain scientific software packages

Your qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Natural Sciences
• Experience with scientific scripting languages (Python and Matlab)
• Interest in mathematical problems
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary (combining structural, molecular, cellular and theoretical approaches) and international team of researchers
• Fluency in English

Desirable qualifications

• Proficiency in a higher programming language (C++ preferred)
• Background in biology, biochemistry, biophysics or a related field of science
