Are you interested in supporting and guiding the Student Leaders of over 150 Student Societies? Does the idea of working in a fast moving, highly varied, well supported work environment appeal? Where no two days are the same, and the opportunity to innovate and contribute to positive change is at the forefront of your work?

Then, we have a role for you; Lancaster Students’ Union is looking for a new Societies  Assistant to join our team.

We are looking for an engaging, enthusiastic, committed individual to take up this challenge- working in a small and dedicated team to enhance the  support of Student Societies- societies which  range from culture to sport, religion to academic, and all manner of variety inbetween. You will be supported to provide guidance and  training on events and trips, leadership and weekly activity- engaging  with colleagues  across campus and beyond to ensure  safe enjoyable society activities.

We believe this is an incredibly exciting role with a huge opportunity for you to make it your own. If you would like an informal conversation about the role, please email:  Pat James (Societies and Student Communities  Manager), [email protected]

This is a full-time role fixed term for 2 years, and due to  the nature of the post, you will be required to work on campus.  As a Students’ Union, we have a hugely diverse membership and we’re working towards our staff team reflecting this; we’d welcome any applications from black and minority ethnic candidates that help us to achieve this.

PLEASE NOTE: this role is employed by Lancaster University Students Union an independent organisation from Lancaster University, but all HR processes (including recruitment) are administered by Lancaster University
