The University of San Francisco Sport Management Master’s Program is looking for a motivated and creative individual to help “Tell Our Story” and connect with prospective and current students, alumni, and faculty via social media. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for all posting on USF Sport Management channels.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and promote the Sport Management Master’s Program across all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) and keeps each up-to-date at all times.
    Work with USF Sport Management staff on all areas related to the program’s social media pages and strategy. 

  • Manage all upcoming and scheduled posts, create copy specific to each platform, and plan for future content.

  • Oversee social media specialists as they gather content and generate leads for future social posts. 

  • Participate in weekly phone calls with USF Sport Management staff and social media specialists to report on status of all social media pages. 

  • Generates, edits, publishes and shares daily content that is both unique and creative to help build meaningful connections and encourage community members to take action.

  • Engage with prospective and current students, alumni, and faculty across all social media pages. 

  • Organizes and creates social media calendar to ensure all stories submitted from students, alumni and faculty are promoted across all social media pages at various times. 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media, specifically Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

  • Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), and communication skills.

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with little direction/guidance.

  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.

  • Positive attitude and detail oriented with good multitasking and organizational skills
