The Treaty provides for a global verification regime, including a network of 337 stations worldwide, a communications system, an international data centre and on-site inspections to monitor compliance.Organizational SettingThis position is located in the Public Information Section, Legal and External Relations Division (LEG).Reporting LinesUnder the supervision of the Chief, Public Information Section, and in close collaboration with the SnT2025 Coordinator and staff of the Public Information Section and other Divisions, to:Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design branding and marketing solutions for the CTBT: Science and Technology 2025 Conference (SnT2025), including designs for print products and digital platforms, venue spaces and locations, participant badges, exhibits, etc.;
  • Draft Terms of Reference (ToR) for the production contract needed to carry out all branding solutions across the venue, including multimedia deliverables such as opening video, and liaise with procurement and other colleagues on vendor selection process;
  • Provide recommendations to the SnT2025 Local Organizing Committee (LOC) on terms of reference for the venue contract and other relevant contracts that could impact the conference’s production;
  • Provide creative direction, branding and design guidance for online, social media and audiovisual products being prepared for SnT2025;
  • Participate in all relevant meetings (LOC, procurement, public information, high-level opening, etc.), some of which could be in-person at the VIC, the venue, or a vendor’s place of business, as well as remote;
  • Provide guidance on best practices for production of hybrid conferences, including technical, artistic and accessibility aspects for both in-person and remote participants;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

  • University degree in film, media, marketing, communications, graphic design or a related field;

Work Experience and Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years of relevant practical work experience in developing communications strategies and branding solutions for conferences or events, as well as developing and producing audiovisual, web and graphic design products, part of which is at an international level;
  • Solid graphic design and audiovisual production skills and proficiency in relevant software is required;
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing tools is required;
  • Knowledge of the relevant industry trends in event production and best practices is required;
  • In-depth knowledge of nuclear disarmament issues and of the Commission’s work, its verification regime and mandate is highly desirable;

Languages

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential;
  • Knowledge of other official CTBTO languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is desirable.
