Summary of Job Duties:

•Understand the use and operation of various simulation technologies
•Participate in simulation experience development and prioritization with simulation faculty as requested
•Assure all equipment is set up for simulation experiences in advance
•Ensure all equipment is stored appropriately after simulation experiences complete
•Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mannequins during simulation experiences under the supervision of simulation faculty
•Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot audio/visual equipment utilized in simulation experiences under the supervision of simulation faculty
•Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot video livestream software and equipment under the supervision of simulation faculty
•Programs software to model simulators’ physiological responses to simulation faculty specifications during simulation experiences
•Support/Assist in role playing applications (simulated participant), props placement, and moulage set up before and after simulation experiences
•Maintains inventory of simulation supplies and equipment by conducting quarterly and as needed inventory updates
•Conduct ongoing maintenance of all simulation equipment, including charging, cleaning, repairing, and ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working condition
•Performs basic preventative maintenance and up-grades of simulation equipment
•Maintain record of repairs/replacements

•Communicates equipment and supplies needs to the Simulation Coordinator and NAH Secretary
•Interface with equipment manufacturers regarding equipment troubleshooting and system problems
•Assists with data entry for various simulation related recordkeeping
•Collaborate with vendors and equipment purchasing/supply orders as requested.
•Contributes recommendations for budgeting and purchasing of equipment, supplies, materials, and utilization of resources
•Participates in ongoing simulation training and development as requested (conferences, seminars, in-service trainings, staff meetings, etc.)
•Serves as a member on the UACCB NAH Simulation Committee
•Maintains current knowledge of simulation equipment catalogs and operation manuals
•Provides technical assistance and serves as a resource for faculty utilizing simulation
•Assists with training faculty in the use of simulation equipment processes
•Understand all standards of best practice (SOBP) related to Simulation Operations (NCSBN, INACSL, SSH)
•Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in technology or health-related field preferred. RN, EMT, Paramedic, or Respiratory Therapist preferred. Previous experience in simulation preferred. Must be able to independently move equipment and move manikins (up to 50 lbs.) with the assistance of others.
