ABOUT THE POSITION:  Spokane Valley is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic employee to serve our City as a full-time Traffic Signal Technician in our Community Public Works Department. The ideal candidate will support the City by performing Traffic Signal and Intelligent Transportation System related duties. A candidate should have exceptional technical skills and have a strong desire to provide superior service to both internal and external customers.

SELECTED EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Under general supervision perform routine and complex signal related work for maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting traffic signal and ITS systems.  Installation of required equipment, wiring of equipment, and troubleshooting and integration of required equipment to maintain signal and ITS operations. Provide weekly system health checks, update and maintain school zone flashing beacons, perform annual maintenance on RRFB, Opticom, and radar feedback devices.  []{style=”font-family: Arial;
