Job Description:

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s Degree with Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association; KS Speech-Language Pathology license (KDADS) or eligibility for the license
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Skills: This position is responsible for graduate clinical and academic instruction.   The incumbent maintains a personal clinical caseload. The incumbent participates in departmental, university, professional and community service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD or Clinical Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Work Experience: 4-6 years of clinical experience, with experience in supervision of students, clinical fellows, and/or peers. 
  • Skills: Graduate- level teaching experience. Expertise in clinical service provision across the lifespan. Bilingual therapist.

Job Duties Outlined:

  • Provide clinical evaluation and treatment services to a diverse population.
  • Provide graduate clinical education.
  • Provide graduate classroom instruction in the area of expertise.
  • Support clinic director’s efforts to develop and enhance a variety of clinical training opportunities for MA-SLP graduate students.
  • Assist with the oversight and maintenance of the clinic.
  • Provide graduate student advising.
  • Serve as a member of the Intercampus Executive Committee of the KU Intercampus Program in Communicative Disorders (IPCD).
  • Participate in other service-related activities (e.g., committee/sub-committee/taskforce membership) in the Department, IPCD, University, community, and profession, as assigned.
