SETSquared Centre Manager
University of Bath
We are looking for a Centre Manager to run the Bath SETsquared Innovation Centre.
Working from the University of Bath’s world-leading SETsquared Innovation Centre (ranked Global #1 university business incubator since 2015), the Centre Manager will be responsible for the efficient and effective running of the Centre, developing new income streams and opportunities that link business incubation with University of Bath core business.
About the role
You will work closely with colleagues from Research & Innovation Services (RIS) and from across the university, as well as colleagues from the wider SETsquared Partnership. The role is to enable graduate and private businesses to grow and, where possible, increase the speed and success of those companies through mentoring, access to finance and business planning.
You will join the Innovation Centre team at a time of expanded delivery. We are launching new programmes, including a Tech Start-Up School, Health Business Acceleration Hub and piloting a new hub for Enterprise and Innovation on the University of Bath campus.
You will also help manage a cohort of 15 high-growth businesses both in situ at the Centre and via a new virtual model of delivery.
This is a full-time (36.5 hours per week) permanent position.
About you
- Have proven experience in managing and running an Innovation Centre.
- Be able to initiate enterprise activities, ideally with knowledge in one or more of the following sectors – digital innovation, sustainable technologies, advanced engineering and/or social enterprise.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
