Course number and title: URB433H1F – Special Topics in Urban Studies: Creative Citizens and the Art of Discovery
Course description: This course explores our understanding of urban space through the lens of public art, engaging multiple perspectives ranging from artists’ practices, community participation to municipal policy. Experiential learning is integrated with several focused expeditions in the field (walking tours), supported by research and readings to situate Toronto and its creative public realm in a global and historical context.

Sessional dates of appointment: September 1st, 2024 – December 31st, 2024

Description of duties:
The Sessional Lecturer will develop a detailed syllabus, teach the full course, conduct all grading and prepare and submit all final marks. In addition, the Sessional Lecturer will hold office hours each week, and answer student questions by email and/or appointment.
