Course number and title: Sessional Lecturer – LHA3184H – Indigenous Research Methodologies
Course description:
This course will provide an overview of indigenous research methodologies and an introduction to planning research projects that are relevant, respectful, responsible and reciprocal in relation to indigenous communities. Students will engage in a dialogue on research ethics and protocols as they relate to working with indigenous peoples and communities.

Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2025 to April 30, 2025

Pay for half course, vacation pay included:
Sessional Lecturer I: $9,182.42
Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $9,641.55
Sessional Lecturer II: $9,826.96
Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,025.84
Sessional Lecturer III: $10,060.93
Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $10,262.15
Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
Minimum qualifications:
Candidates must hold a doctorate in Adult Education or a related field; have a demonstrated record of scholarship in the field of Adult Education and the subject area of the course; have practical experience related to the topic of the course; and have successful post-secondary teaching experience in the subject area of the course and a successful track record of teaching online, preferably using Canvas/Quercus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching graduate-level courses.
Description of duties:
Prepare, organize, and lead this graduate half course; be available to students seeking assistance between classes; and evaluate student work and provide students with feedback.
