Course Code and Title: CSCD01H3 – Engineering Large Software Systems

Course Description: An introduction to the theory and practice of large-scale software system design, development, and deployment. Project management; advanced UML; requirements engineering; verification and validation; software architecture; performance modeling and analysis; formal methods in software engineering.

Lecture Section: LEC01: THU 5-7pm.

Course Enrollment (est.): 120

Number of Positions (est.): One

Qualifications: Previous teaching experience as the instructor of a Computer Science course at the 4th-year university level or higher (required). NOTE: Rate of pay is $13,604 per half-course, higher than the posted amount.

Duties: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; submission of a deferred exam; holding regular office hours; supervising TAs assigned to course.

Estimated TA Support (Hours): 65 hours per tutorial.

Sessional dates of appointment: September 3 – December 31, 2024

Salary: Sessional Lecturer I $8,489.67; Sessional Lecturer I Long Term $8,869.25; Sessional Lecturer II $9,085.58; Sessional Lecturer III $9,301.90.
