Course description: Unique opportunity to explore a particular Social Cultural Anthropology topic in-depth. Topics vary from year to year.
Prerequisite: ANT207H1 and 1.0 300-level FCE in ANT (Society Culture and Language)
The special topic for this course is User-Experience and Design Research: Anthropological Approaches.
Estimated course enrolment: 18 students

Class schedule: Fridays 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Classes begin January 6 and end April 4, 2025

Salary:
Sessional Lecturer I: $9457.90
Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $9930.79
Sessional Lecturer II: $10,121.77
Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,326.62
Sessional Lecturer III: $10,362.76
Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $ 10,570.02
Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
Minimum qualifications:
MA in Anthropology required, PhD preferred;
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the field of User Experience and Innovation Research required;
Demonstrated evidence of superior teaching is required.
Description of duties: All duties associated with teaching an undergraduate course, including preparing the course outline, syllabus and lectures, delivering lectures, developing, marking and administering course assignments, tests & exams, holding regular office hours.
