Position Description

The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Winter 2024 ENTI 601 LEC 03 (Entrepreneurial Thinking) during block week. Classes in the Winter 2024 block week run from Tuesday, January 2, 2024 to Saturday, January 6, 2024.

ENTI 601 (Entrepreneurial Thinking)
LEC 03 TWRFS 08:30-17:30

The calendar description of the course:
“Business leaders are challenged to think entrepreneurially – to seek opportunities and find ways to turn opportunities into viable ventures. These may be for-profit, not-for-profit, or social ventures. Students will engage in experiential learning to complete a feasibility assessment of such an opportunity, including the concept of giving back to society.”


  • MBA degree or equivalent is required at minimum, doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Work or related experience in the field are desirable.
  • Background in having started a new venture, having run a small business, or having worked with early-stage startups is desirable.
  • Experience teaching entrepreneurship courses at the university level is required.
  • Ability to ground teaching in scientific evidence and scholarship of entrepreneurship is required.
  • Previous post-secondary teaching experience is required.
  • Preference will be given to an applicant with previous experience teaching this course.
