Position Description
The Haskayne School of Business invites applications to teach the following Business Management Technology (BTMA) course.
Classes in the Winter 2023 semester run Monday, January 9 – April 12, 2023. If applicable, Registrar Scheduled Final exams are held April 15-26, 2023.
Qualifications:
1. PhD or ABD PhD in Business Technology Management with a focus on quantitative methods and analytic modelling.
2. Previous post secondary teaching experience and demonstrated excellence is required, and a demonstrated high level of prior experience with the specific data analytic and artificial intelligence methods taught in the University of Calgary Haskayne BTMA 431 course is required.
BTMA 431 L01 Gathering, Wrangling and Analyzing Data in R Wednesdays 11:00-13:45
The calendar description of the course:
Introduction to software tools, including R, to clean/organize/analyze data, for graphical analyses, reports, and presentations. Topics include working with API’s, advanced data scraping tools, dynamic and interactive visualizations, and implementations of statistical methods in data analytics. Skills are applied to typical business data sources and case studies with presentations.
