Our client, a well-established and reputable construction company in Ottawa’s South End, is seeking two highly motivated Service Technician to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic company that offers year-round employment.
As a Foundation Service Technician, you will perform foundation repair, concrete restoration, and maintenance work. The ideal candidate has construction experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to safely operate a variety of construction tools and equipment. Experience with concrete, foundations, and concrete finishing is considered an asset. If you take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy hands-on work, we’d love to hear from you.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Perform daily foundation repair and maintenance tasks, including patching beam pockets using non-shrink grout and monitoring curing times to ensure repairs are completed to quality standards
- Carry out a variety of foundation and concrete repairs, including repairing honeycombing on foundation walls, crack repairs, basement floor repairs, window cut-outs and replacements, and other related restoration work
- Install rigid insulation (Styrofoam) in and around foundation walls in accordance with project specifications and company standards
- Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet safety, quality, and customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, repairs completed, materials used, and project progress, and submit required documentation to the office
- Safely operate company vehicles and use company-provided tools, equipment, and materials
- Keep work sites clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, office staff, and customers regarding project status, repairs, and any issues requiring attention
- Assist with additional foundation service and repair tasks as assigned
Required skills and qualifications:
- Previous construction experience with a solid understanding of construction methods, processes, and job site safety practices
- Experience using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Concrete and foundation repair experience is considered a strong asset
- Concrete finishing experience is considered a strong asset
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Ability to safely operate construction tools and equipment, including wall saws, quick-cut saws, trowels, ladders, and other industry-standard tools
- Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and project specifications
- Physically capable of performing demanding work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Hourly Pay Rate: Range from $25.00 to $34.00 per hour, based on experience
Work Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 3-5:00pm – Overtime after 44 hours per week
