In doing so, you will use your skills in a targeted manner with a “first-time-right” approach and be in daily contact with our customers. You will be mainly accountable for: • Working with the customer primarily in the areas of troubleshooting, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and retrofit & upgrade to identify opportunities to improve customer operations and eliminate weak points. • Perform field service tasks, identify technical issues, and perform analysis through remote or on-site activities in service categories and products . • Workshop repairs and remote support in the team • Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future. • Coverage of remote condition monitoring as well as telephone technical customer support. • Service assignments throughout Germany and on-call duty together with colleaguesQualifications for the role

  • HTL technical college or HTL Matura level or a corresponding apprenticeship, preferably in the field of mechatronics, electrical engineering or communications engineering
  • Professional experience in the fields of electronics, electrical engineering and drive technology is advantageous, but not mandatory.
  • Driver’s license (B)
  • Fluency in German and technical English, both written and spoken is mandatory
  • High willingness to travel
  • Customer and problem-solving, resilient, team-oriented, flexible and independent
  • Acting independently with a keen sense of your colleagues and the business – in line with our ABB core values of safety and integrity
  • Stays abroad of several days (training, missions) are not the rule, but they are always possible.
