Service Desk Support – Lincoln, Christchurch – Manaaki Whenua

Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research Information Technology team are rolling out new end user tools with a big focus on mobility, creating opportunities to utilise new tools and processes.

About the opportunity

An opportunity exists for a Service Desk Support person to join Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research’s IT team based in Lincoln.

This is a customer facing role in a small and supportive team, providing excellent customer service and being the first point of contact for everyone we support.

The role

To assist end users to efficiently and effectively use IT services and tools by providing them with support, guidance and training.

The IT team will provides a high level of service to Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research staff and contractors, expertise in technology, best practises and innovation.

The ability to be able to work well in a team environment as well as to work independently is important in this role.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has great customer service focus with accountabilities in the following areas:

• Customer Service
• User Device Provisioning
• Incident and Service Request Management
• Two or more years of experience in a medium-sized, diverse IT environment
• Enthusiastic member of a team, someone who will share ideas and be prepared to help colleagues

As this role is customer facing, it is important to have, a positive attitude with a willingness to help. The successful candidate will work with a variety of people and their needs, so good written and verbal communication is key.
