Job Title: Senior Vice President (SVP), Technology and InnovationLocation: Hybrid (8201 Greensboro Dr, 5th Floor Suite 500E, McLean VA – 22102)Client: Fulltime with RCCDescription:Summary: The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Technology and Innovation at Red Cedar Consultancy is responsible for driving the technology strategy, leading innovation initiatives, and overseeing technical partnerships and corporate IT operations. This in-house consulting role emphasizes the development of cutting-edge technology frameworks, solution architecture, and talent development. The SVP will play a key leadership role in shaping Red Cedar’s six-domain technology philosophy while fostering a culture of continuous innovation and collaboration.Job Responsibilities:Technology Strategy & Innovation Leadership
- Develop and execute a forward-looking technology and AI strategy aligned with Red Cedar’s matrix organization, supporting both vertical (e.g., Law Enforcement, DoD, Civilian) and horizontal (e.g., cloud, data, cybersecurity, software, automation) capability areas.
- Establish and lead the Technology Office, including the development of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), technology capability roadmaps, and innovation frameworks.
- Champion Red Cedar’s six-domain technology philosophy:
- Cloud, Infrastructure & Automation
- Cybersecurity
- Software Development & DevSecOps
- Human-Centered Design
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- IoT & Data Capture
- Define and establish Technology Centers of Excellence (COEs) aligned with core delivery and innovation domains.
Innovation & IR&D Lab
- Launch and manage an Innovation Lab/R&D Program within the first three months, supporting both internal intellectual property (IP) development and co-creation pilots with clients.
- Oversee the R&D project pipeline, governance processes, and emerging technology experimentation (e.g., Generative AI, Microsoft Power Platform, RPA).
- Promote a culture of curiosity and continuous learning across technical teams.
Solution Architecture & Business Development
- Lead technical solutioning efforts in support of capture and proposal development.
- Collaborate with delivery and business development (BD) teams to translate mission needs into scalable technology solutions.
- Guide the development of reusable architecture patterns and solution libraries.
Technical Partnerships & Ecosystem Growth
- Shape and operationalize partnerships with major technology providers (e.g., Microsoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow).
- Define engagement models, joint offerings, and co-marketing opportunities.
Organizational Capability & Talent Development
- Lead the development of a technical capability framework, including career pathways and delivery benchmarks.
- Establish and support internal Centers of Excellence as growth and mentorship hubs.
- Evaluate and implement tools (e.g., CV Partner) to track personnel skills and technical capabilities.
- Mentor and develop the next generation of technical leaders within Red Cedar.
Thought Leadership & Brand Elevation
- Represent Red Cedar externally through events, podcasts, speaking engagements, and publications.
- Publish a recurring Tech & Innovation Brief to foster internal knowledge sharing and increase external visibility.
Marketing & Brand Strategy
- Oversee and lead Red Cedar’s marketing strategy and execution.
- Ensure consistent messaging across digital platforms, thought leadership content, and corporate communications.
- Collaborate with leadership to strengthen Red Cedar’s brand presence in the federal contracting ecosystem.
Corporate IT Leadership
- Oversee all aspects of corporate IT infrastructure and operations.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and support of internal systems, tools, and platforms.
- Partner with operations to improve employee technology experiences and productivity.
Required/Must-Have Skills:
- Proven experience in leading technology strategy and innovation in a consulting or federal contracting environment.
- Expertise in cloud technologies, including cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and lead Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Innovation Labs.
- Strong leadership in business development and technical solutioning for federal proposals.
- Experience in developing and managing technical partnerships with major technology platforms (e.g., Microsoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow).
- Ability to mentor and develop technical teams and future leaders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with emerging technologies like Generative AI, RPA, and data-driven decision-making platforms.
- Familiarity with tools to track personnel skills and technical competencies (e.g., CV Partner).
- Strong public-speaking skills and experience in external thought leadership roles.
- Background in corporate marketing strategy within a technology-driven organization.
