About the Faculty/Group

The Finance, Strategy and Business Intelligence (FSBI) Group consists of: Financial Accounting, Business Accounting, Procurement, Treasury and Business Intelligence & Analytics. The FSBI vision is for UNE to have an integrated and effective planning, finance and performance management framework that supports the management of resources, where UNE has the data and analysis needed to achieve excellence. FSBI is recognised for its financial transparency and consistently meets its statutory (and contractual) obligations in relation to financial management probity. FSBI contributes to the strong financial performance of the University, ensuring UNE’s finances are sustainable and support the broader vision for UNE to improve the lives of the communities it serves.

The Business Intelligence and Analytics Unit (BIA) supports the ongoing development, enhancement, and management of data and analytics underpinning business strategies and informed decision-making across the University. The unit governs data resources, develops reporting and analytics applications, and builds and maintains the underlying infrastructure for the data environment. The BIA Unit is also responsible for the University’s enterprise data warehouse; data modelling and lineage; management of production dashboards; the generation of analysis, insights and reports; data literacy; and stakeholder engagement.
