Job Summary

This position is under NTID Counseling & Academic Advising Services (CAAS) and reports to the Director of CAAS. Work with the Director and the members of this department. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to Director and department members
    • Acquire & compile data
    • Order office supplies and monitor equipment
    • Handle logistics (reporting, events, etc.)
  • Assign counselors/academic advisors to all NTID students
    • Monitor assignments and caseload distribution
  • Support student, families, and community inquiries/referrals
  • Handle confidential student related files and personnel paperwork
  • Support Registrar-related form submissions
  • Manage department budget
    • Online finacial system, procurement card, journal entries, PCMs, etc.
  • Assist Career Coordinator with career assessment management (send and run reports)

Required Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s or Equivalent Experience
  • 3-5 years experience

Skills:

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and/or higher education related software
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language
  • Strong written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Budget/bookkeeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
