OverviewGovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Scrum Master/Project Manager to oversee activities across two scrum teams and coordinating between other contract teams and with the Government change control board. This position will be remote but prefer the DC area.ResponsibilitiesCoordinates scrum and development activities across two scrum teams and with other system contract teams. This includes user stories, bugs, deployments, and documentation. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members, coordinating with the development, test, and technical leads. Reports to the contract Program Manager.

  • Acts as senior scrum master holding a scrum of scrums, monitoring the project backlog, and assisting scrum team leads.
  • Provide oversight for the Operations support Kanban board, in support of the Operations Project Manager.
  • Enters Requests for Change and acts as Change Coordinator with the Government Change Control Board.
  • Monitors and assists with production of project and release documentation with the two scrum teams.
  • Monitors risks and issues across the scrum teams and works with the Program Manager and team leads for resolutions.
  • Works with the system integration teams on coordination points and common requirements.
  • Assists with other project leadership tasks as needed.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking, analysis and reporting.

QualificationsBachelor’s with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)Required Skills and Experience:

  • Certified Scrum Master, an active scrum master across complex project schedules
  • Experience with change control boards in a Government environment
  • In depth knowledge of SDLC phases and producing system documentation best practices
  • Attention to detail and hands on managing multiple tasks and teams
  • Direct experience with Jira or Devops, Agile metrics, and backlog management
  • Direct experience writing user stories and grooming
  • Clearance Required: Mus be able to acquire and maintain PBGC Public Trust

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the Scaled Agile Framework
