  • Leads project teams through iterative development
  • Acts as a servant leader to the team and facilitates Agile ceremonies
  • Collaborates with IT, the business area and development teams to refine, organize and prioritize requests in accordance with corporate strategies and goals
  • Facilitates and leads individual Scrum teams in all aspects of Scrum: daily standups, planning, self-organization, collaboration and iterative development
  • Develops quality metrics for the benefit of the team in order to drive feedback
  • Mentors the project team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and helps drive them towards continuous Agile improvement

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ten years of experience in the field of IT Projects, including three years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile software development environment or related experience
  • Project management, business analyst or product owner experience
  • Certified Scrum Master preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced understanding of the Scrum framework and Agile development techniques
  • Strong facilitation skills in leading planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Knowledge of application development, database, infrastructure, internet, extranet and client server architectures
  • Strong understanding of the importance of automated testing, efficient story writing and acceptance test-driven development
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to deal with conflict, motivate and drive teams to be high performing
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • JIRA, JIRA Portfolio knowledge preferred
