The following position is available to strengthen our team of the Department for Continuing Education Research and Educational Technologies/ Center for Applied Research and Innovation in Lifelong Learning at the Faculty of Education, Arts and Architecture:

Senior Scientist – Post Doc (m/f/d)

40 hrs./week

Your tasks

• Contribute to the development of the research profile of the Department of Continuing Education Research and Educational Technologies, in particular at the interface between technology-enhanced learning and continuing and adult education
• Independently prepare, write and submit project proposals at European and national level, both independently and as part of a team
• Carrying out research projects, including project management and, if necessary, project leadership
• Participation in the development, writing and presentation of studies for public clients
• Independent organisation of courses, involvement in curriculum development and supervision of theses
• Co-operation with non-university vocational and further education institutions in research and teaching

Your profile

We require evidence of the following qualifications for the application:

• Completed university degree (doctorate/PhD) in a social science field of study or in computer science or a related field of study
• Expertise and research experience in at least one of the following areas: continuing education, adult education, technology-enhanced learning
• Expertise in the methods of empirical social research
• Publications in peer-reviewed international scientific journals
• Excellent knowledge of German (at least C1) and good knowledge of English (at least B2)
• Good written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to present research results in a comprehensible manner
• Ability to work in a team

In addition, the following criteria are desirable:

• Research experience at the interfaces of continuing education, adult education, technology-supported learning
• Experience in university teaching, module development and study programme management
• Experience in cooperation with non-university vocational and further education institutions in research and teaching
