The Residential Colleges provide a positive, safe, and healthy environment that promotes the academic and social development of its residents. A trained collegiate team provides pastoral and well-being support, and residents also have the opportunity to get involved in various sporting, cultural and social activities organised by elected student leaders. In addition to this, the academic and learning community programs have significantly contributed to the resident students being top academic performers at UniSQ.


What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Manager (Residential Life), you will actively contribute to the student enrichment and wellbeing of our students through:

  • Leading the coordination, planning and management of a range of Residential College events and activities including annual dinners and seminars,
  • Providing support and advice to the Manager (Residential Life) in relation to student support and well-being matters,
  • Responding to incidents that occur at the Residential Colleges, including after-hours when rostered on-call, and
  • Supervising and supporting the Resident Student Club with undertaking a schedule of student enrichment events (including sporting, cultural and social events).


What will help you succeed

Key to your success in the role will be your demonstrated experience and ability to work within a dedicated team and your strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Additionally, you will have

  • Tertiary qualification with relevant work experience, and eligibility for and ability to maintain a Blue Card (Working with Children),
  • A demonstrated ability to build relationships and respond to the needs of a diverse range of students, with a strong desire to enhance the overall student experience,
  • An ability to supervise and motivate others to deliver positive outcomes, and
  • A demonstrated understanding of a broad range of rules, policies, procedures and processes associated with student management in a tertiary institution.
