• Conduct research in the field of big data processing (as described below)
• Develop efficient algorithms and architectures to address ingest and real-time processing of massive amounts of data, for example, for anomaly detection
• Bridge academic research and commercial technology development: Collaborate with our development teams and other internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to the global Research Community: Publish and disseminate research findings in journals and present at conferences
• Actively take part in scientific and industrial cooperation projects

Research fieldOur research is driven by the need to process and analyze millions of metrics and events in real-time. Processing the huge amounts of data requires highest scalability not only of the infrastructure but also of the applied technologies and algorithms to handle data ingest and storage, and to enable large-scale data analysis and anomaly detection in real-time.
It includes transaction processing, query optimization and processing, indexing and search, data extraction, distributed systems, stream processing and analysis, databases and storage technologies, new architectures, and caching.Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong interest in performance and resource optimization as well as in algorithm development for indexing, pattern matching, sketching, query optimization
• Strong publication record (of course in relation to the “academic age”)
• Excellent English skills (oral and written)

Compensation and rewards

• We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
• Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 56,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
