If so, this is an exciting time to join the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Queen Mary.

Ranked joint 7th in the UK for the quality of its research in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (source: Times Higher Education), Queen Mary University of London is delivering world class research, education and knowledge transfer. Queen Mary is committing significant investment to professional support for its research and innovation activities. The Faculty of Science and Engineering is going from strength to strength with our research in Engineering being ranked 2nd in the UK for outputs and 7th overall; Computer Science and Informatics ranked 8th in the UK and joint 1st for impact; as well as increased research quality and power across all subjects.

In this role you will lead on the development and delivery of the University’s research and innovation strategy and contribute to our vibrant, inclusive and thriving research community. You will provide expert leadership and specialised knowledge for links with industry, third sector and Government departments, working closely with colleagues in Business Development. You will oversee the development and implementation of Faculty’s strategic research and impact strategies and innovation activities.

The starting salary for those at grade 6 will be in the range of £49,476 – 55,234 inclusive of London Allowance. These posts are based at the Mile End Campus in London (postholders expected to spend 60% of working time on campus). They are full time (35 hours per week) permanent appointments
