The Opportunity

SPHERE is a NHMRC funded Centre of Research Excellence (CRE) in Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health in Primary Care based in the Department of General Practice (DGP) in the School of Public Health at the St Kilda Rd campus. SPHERE is guided by a team of national and international clinician researchers and experts in women’s health, general practice, pharmacy, nursing, epidemiology, knowledge translation, health economics, and policy development.

Reporting to the Director of the SPHERE CRE, the Senior Research Fellow will have a key role in the leadership team of the SPHERE CRE at Monash and have:

  • A strong background in one or more of epidemiology/pragmatic trials/implementation research/knowledge translation/primary care/public health and women’s health; and
  • proven expertise in coordinating and communicating with an extensive network of stakeholders.

They will provide oversight of a suite of projects within SPHERE and the DGP including IMPROVE, AUSCAPPS, ORIENT and ALLIANCE ensuring that the learnings from each are shared within the broader team.

The Senior Research Fellow will be expected to make independent or original contributions to the research effort within their field of expertise and within the SPHERE Centre of Research Excellence and contribute to efforts to grow and support research within the Department of General Practice in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.

To be successful within this role you will have a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline area or equivalent accreditation and standing together with subsequent research experience.
